DARANAK FALLS

Daranak falls came from the phrase "Dadanak ang dugo" its directly translate "the spilling of blood" it is located at bgy. Tandang Kutyo in the town of tanay.

Save for the water and the rocks around, everywhere you looked it was green. thick, probably century-old trees look down a top the falls, almost making it seem like a natural umbrella that spread around the entire refuge from concrete and industry, making you feel cradle by nature herself. to me there's nothing more relaxing.

Daranak falls also one of a favorite location shooting area of most local and international movies and advertising outfits in the country.

 Here are some photos of me, So amazing it is sixty to eighty feet high falls is truly a refreshing site. Also , I want to try and jump, i want to know how it's like to do something you're deadly afraid of. It's a challenge.

The water was so cold..The water gets deep near the falls. you would really need a salbabida if you don't know hot to swim.

Araw ng Davao on March 16, 2013

The people of Davao City will be marking this years's Araw ng Dabaw festivities on March 16. The day, which falls on a saturday, is a special non-working holiday in the city as declared by Republic Act 7551.

Nilagang baka

Beef Nilaga or Nilagang Baka is literally translate as boiled Beef. This is a simple soup dish best served during rainy and cold weather.

Ingredients:

2 lbs beef brisket, cubed

1 big potato, cubed

1 bok choy or pechay

1 large onion chopped

2 medium sized carrots, chopped crosswise

1 tbsp whole pepper corn

3 tbsp fish sauce (patis)

This Nilagang Baka recipe is the best I've tried.

Tinola is a chicken stew in ginger and green papaya. the aroma of ginger and chili leaves make it typical for Asian cuisine.

Ingredients:

1 kilo chicken, serving size, any part of your choice

1 tbs oil

3 cloves garlic

1 large onion, chopped

1 tbs ginger

3 green papayas

1 cup dahon ng sili (chili leaves)

salt and pepper

1 tbs patis

HUNDRED ISLANDS

Hundred Islands is in the province of pangasinan in northern Philippines. It is located at Alaminos, Pangasinan.

They are believed to be about two million years old. Only three of them have been developed for tourists: Governor Island, Quezon Island, and children's Island.

How to Get There
Alaminos City is the gateway the hundred Islands National Park. It is five hours by public bus from manila Victory Liner or Five Star Bus. Bus Fare is 400. From Alaminos City proper. ride a tricycle going to Barangay lucap, this is where the tourist Information Center is located and jump-off point to the hundred isles.

Tricycle Rate:
P80-P100 per ride that can fit three people.

The tourism office set standard boat rates to the park from Barangay Lucap.

• Day Tour (With P20. entrance fee per head)

          Small Boat (1 to 5 persons)- P800

          Medium Boat (6 to 10 persons)- P1000

          Big Boat (11 to 15 persons)-P1100
